Ivan Savvidis: "I don't intend to return to Rostov, but..."

A report from Russia mentioned the possible involvement of Ivan Savvidis in the Rostov football team. The major shareholder of PAOK FC had been honored as an Honorary Citizen of the Rostov Region.
In an interview with the Russian website «Gorod», Ivan Savvidis stated that he does not intend to get involved with Rostov, but if he is asked to contribute to saving it, he will.
In detail, he stated: "I don't intend to return to Rostov, but if the governor believes that he needs my help, I will not say no. I respect him, as I respected his father. I believe that if the club is really struggling so much, then we businessmen must help."
He also added that he supports handball in Rostov and that the top sports clubs in the region should develop in synergy.
"A unified sports community could be created in Rostov. We must promote and advertise our city by all means, through a unified sports marketing strategy," he noted.
