Ivanisevic on Tsitsipas: 'He is in a serious mental crisis'

Goran Ivanisevic, shortly after the end of his collaboration with Stefanos Tsitsipas, expressed concern about the Greek tennis player's psychological state. Speaking to Sport Klub, Ivanisevic stressed that Tsitsipas is in a 'serious mental crisis'.
'It's not difficult at the moment. I feel sorry for him… He is an excellent tennis player who is in a serious crisis, more psychological than physical. I really hope he gets back to where he was. It won't be easy, he hasn't forgotten how to play tennis, but it will be a long road,' Ivanisevic said.
Furthermore, it was announced that Stefanos Tsitsipas will face Alexandre Muller in the first round of the US Open. If he qualifies, potential matches with Altmaier, Medjedovic, De Minaur, Khachanov, Zverev, and Sinner will follow.
