KEAN Pancyprian U18: Records and qualifying marks at the National Track and Field Stadium - GSP

The first day of the KEAN Pancyprian U18 Championships for Boys and Girls, on June 21, 2025, at the National Track and Field Stadium - GSP in Nicosia, was marked by performances and records.
Three new competition records were set, two all-time best performances in the under 16 age category, and two athletes achieved the qualifying standards for the European U18 Championships in 2026, while another three confirmed them. A total of 138 new personal bests were recorded.
Marilena Papanikolaou of GSK surpassed 6.00m in the long jump, with a jump of 6.00m (+1.4 m/s), making her the 2nd best long jumper in the world for girls born in 2011 and the best in Europe. Anastasios Maratheftis of GSO set an all-time best U16 performance with the 5kg hammer, with 66.22m, securing his participation in the European U18 Championships in 2026.
Alexandros Gamraoui of GSP threw 78.70m in the hammer throw, while Achilleas Grigoriou (GSP) confirmed the qualifying mark for the European U18 in 2026, with a throw of 64.23m. Andreas Panteli of GSP also secured his participation in the European U18 Championships in 2026, with a time of 49.40 in the 400m.
Marina Hatzikosta of GSO won the discus throw with 49.08m, breaking her own competition record. Anthi Apostolidou of GSP confirmed the qualifying mark for next year's European U18 in the hammer throw, with 63.68m.
Konstantinos Michael (100m Boys), Andreana Christodoulou (100m Girls), Evanthia Moniati (400m Girls) and other athletes also stood out in the competitions.
