Copa del Rey: Albacete eliminates Real Madrid

Albacete, a team from the Segunda Division, achieved a major victory in the Copa del Rey, eliminating Real Madrid with a score of 3-2. Jefter Betancor, an Olympiacos player on loan to Albacete, scored two goals (82', 90+4') and was the star of the match.

Javi Villar opened the scoring for Albacete, while Mastantuono temporarily equalized for Real Madrid. Gonzalo García equalized to 2-2 for Real in stoppage time, but Betancor sealed the final result.

Real Madrid, after losing the Super Cup to Barcelona and the dismissal of coach Xabi Alonso, are out of the Copa del Rey.
