Government Support for Football Promised by Interior Minister

The Minister of Interior, Konstantinos Ioannou, expressed the government's commitment to support football during the annual General Assembly of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA).

Congratulating the new CFA President, Haris Loizidis, on his election, Mr. Ioannou emphasized the importance of improving infrastructure, transparency, and sustainable development in the sport.

The Minister stressed that football is an institution with social roots, a source of joy and pride for the people, and an important representative of Cyprus internationally.

Government support will include improving infrastructure, cultivating transparency, and strengthening institutions, with the aim of developing athletes and clubs.
