Lindsey Vonn: "I can't wait to stand on top of the mountain again"

Lindsey Vonn, the American Olympic champion in winter sports, has undergone her fourth surgery on her left leg. In a social media post, she expressed her eagerness to return to the top of the mountain.
Vonn was seriously injured during the downhill race at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Despite her injury, Vonn stated that she has no regrets about her decision to participate in the games.
"I didn't get to the starting line ignoring the possible consequences. I knew what I was doing. I chose to take that risk," Vonn wrote in her post. She also thanked her fans for their support and encouraged them to continue fighting for their goals.
Vonn injured her left anterior cruciate ligament on January 30 in Kran Montana. She pointed out that she was physically "stronger than she often was in the past" when she started the race on the Cortina track.
