Milutinov: "Greece is a very strong opponent – We hoped Giannis would play"

Nikola Milutinov spoke about Serbia's friendly match against Greece (9/8, 20:30) in Cyprus, as part of their preparation for the EuroBasket. In statements to the website "mozzart sports", the Olympiacos center referred to the strength of the Greek National Team and its offensive talent.

"A very strong opponent. We hoped Giannis would play, because we want to see where we are. We know we are still far from the form we want, we are still adjusting," Milutinov stated.

Regarding the talent of his team, he said: "My feeling is that we have a lot of talent in attack, I have never been in such a talented team. We just need to improve some details and everything will be fine."

He also referred to his relationship with coach Svetislav Pesic, emphasizing: "I have to praise the coach who likes to listen to our ideas and learn from us, just as we learn from him. The relationship between us is at an amazing level, we enjoy working with him."

Finally, regarding the high demands in the tournament, he said: "When you have players like Jokic and Bogdanovic, the expectations are high and that's normal. We know how to handle the pressure."
