Mircea Lucescu: Romanian coach in coma

Mircea Lucescu, a legend of Romanian football and father of PAOK coach Razvan Lucescu, is in a coma in the intensive care unit of the University Hospital of Bucharest.
After suffering an acute myocardial infarction on Friday, Mircea Lucescu developed complications and was transferred to the ICU.
The University Hospital issued a statement, stressing that his condition remains stable. According to the statement, the patient presented significant cardiac arrhythmias that were treated immediately, but later became severe and did not respond to treatment.
His wife, Neli, and Ana Lucescu, wife of Razvan, are by his side. Razvan Lucescu is in Thessaloniki for PAOK's match against Panathinaikos, but will leave for Bucharest immediately afterwards.
Romanian media report that medical staff are fighting to keep him alive.
