Neymar: 'Rafinha being fifth for Ballon d'Or is a joke'

Neymar has expressed his surprise at Rafinha's ranking in the Ballon d'Or voting. The Brazilian forward considered it a joke that his compatriot was ranked fifth.

Specifically, Neymar commented on an Instagram post, saying that Rafinha's fifth place is 'absolute nonsense.' Rafinha had an excellent season with Barcelona, scoring 34 goals and providing 25 assists in 57 matches.

The Ballon d'Or was awarded to Ousmane Dembélé, with Lamine Yamal, Vitinha, and Mohamed Salah completing the top four.

Neymar, who currently plays for Santos, has twice finished third in the Ballon d'Or, in 2015 and 2017.
