Omonia: Fans send qualification message – 'It will be different at GSP'

Omonia will compete for qualification to the main phase of a European competition in the return leg on Thursday (28/8, 19:00) in Nicosia. Despite the 2-1 defeat in Austria by Wolfsberger, the fans sent a message of optimism to the players and coach Henning Berg.

The fans who followed the team to Austria encouraged the players, ahead of the crucial match at GSP Stadium. Omonia, despite the defeat, showed that they can compete with Wolfsberger and secure qualification.

In the second half of the match, Omonia created significant opportunities, mainly with Jovetic. This was Omonia's first defeat in this year's European games, after four consecutive wins against Torpedo Kutaisi and Araz. Hatzigiovannis made his debut with the team, coming on as a substitute in the 79th minute.
