Omonia Appoints Christakis Christoforou as Academy Technical Director

Omonia has announced the appointment of Christakis Christoforou as the technical director of its football academy.

In its announcement, Omonia highlighted Mr. Christoforou's long career in Cypriot football, especially at the developmental level. From 1993 to 2006, he worked as a coach in the academy of APOEL (1 year), Apollon (5 years), and the youth national teams of Cyprus (7 years). Since 1999, he has been involved in developmental football at the level of private academies.

During his career, he served as the coach of the Cyprus national team, technical director and coach at Apollon, leading them to win the cup and two qualifications to European groups, at AEL with whom he reached the cup final, and with several successes at Apollon Ladies.

Omonia welcomes Mr. Christoforou and wishes him every success.
