Stadium Upgrade Process for Refugee Teams Under Monitoring

A meeting was held with the refugee teams Anorthosis, Nea Salamina, and Ethnikos Achnas at the offices of the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA) to discuss the progress of stadium upgrades.

KOA President Yiannis Ioannou and Board Member Andreas Papallis met with the heads of the teams: Kyriakos Prastitis (Anorthosis), Kikis Filippou (Ethnikos Achnas), and Yiannos Chrysostomou (Nea Salamina). Also present were the President of the Stadium Licensing Authority, Giorgos Karas, members of the authority, consultants, and Famagusta MP Christos Senekis.

The actions taken and next steps for implementing the upgrade were discussed. The KOA and the Licensing Authority expressed satisfaction with the progress, with Mr. Ioannou confirming the commitment to improvements in sports infrastructure. The next meeting is scheduled for January 15, 2026.
