PASAP: Concerns over the safety of sports facilities

PASAP has issued an announcement regarding the safety of sports facilities, following the collapse of part of the roof at the Mikra indoor arena during a women's volleyball match between Aris and Thira.
The Association of Paid Volleyball Players (PASAP) expressed concerns about the suitability of the venues, especially those hosting the top men's and women's volleyball leagues. It is noted that the specific arena in Mikra is also used by the National Teams.
PASAP also raised questions about the insurance coverage of athletes in case of injury, as well as journalists and technical teams present at the venues.
In its announcement, PASAP emphasizes the need for immediate action from the Ministry, the Federation, and the responsible bodies to ensure safety in sports facilities, calling for investments in infrastructure and organization.
PASAP describes the situation as an insult to volleyball and calls for measures to be taken before it is too late.
