Simeone Publicly Apologizes to Pérez and Vinícius for Behavior

Diego Simeone has publicly apologized to Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez and player Vinícius Júnior for his behavior during the Spanish Super Cup semi-final between Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid (1-2).

The Argentinian coach had provoked Vinícius with gestures and comments. Simeone stated: "First of all, I would like to apologize to Mr. Pérez and Vinícius for what happened. It's not right for me to put myself in this position and I obviously accept that I was wrong."

After the match, Vinícius ironically commented on a post by Fabrizio Romano regarding the incident.
