Messi Injured, Inter Miami Wins on Penalties

Lionel Messi left the game with discomfort in the 11th minute, but Inter Miami defeated Necaxa 5-4 on penalties (2-2 in regular time) in the Leagues Cup.

Miami converted all penalties, with Luis Suárez securing the win. Goalkeeper Rocco Ríos Novo saved a penalty from Tomás Badaloni.

Maximiliano Falcón of Inter Miami was sent off in the 17th minute, while Cristian Calderón of Necaxa was sent off in the 60th minute.

Telasco Segovia opened the scoring for Miami after Messi's departure.
