José Mourinho: Fenerbahçe exit brings $26 million profit to investors

José Mourinho's departure from Fenerbahçe resulted in the team's stock price increasing by up to 7%, adding $26 million to its capitalization, which exceeded $400 million.
The 62-year-old Portuguese coach's departure came two days after Fenerbahçe's elimination from the Champions League qualifiers, where they lost to Benfica.
Mourinho, known as "The Special One", took over the Turkish team in the summer of 2024. Last season did not go ideally, with Fenerbahçe finishing second behind Galatasaray in the Super Lig.
In its announcement, the Turkish team stated: "We have parted ways with José Mourinho. We thank him for his efforts and wish him every success."
Despite the blow to the sporting prestige, the stock market impact was reversed, with investors viewing the departure as an opportunity for renewal and potential financial recovery.
