The Kilauea volcano in Hawaii has erupted again, sending lava up to 300 meters into the air. This marks the 43rd eruption since December 2024.

Thick smoke and ash have covered Volcanoes National Park, leading to the temporary closure of the Big Island. The activity is centered on the Halemaʻumaʻu crater.

Kilauea is located approximately 322 kilometers south of Honolulu and is one of the most active volcanoes in the world.
