Hellenic Parliament Turns Off Lights for 'Earth Hour'

The Hellenic Parliament participated in the global environmental campaign 'Earth Hour', turning off the lights of its central building from 20:30 to 21:30.

According to a relevant announcement, this action constitutes 'a strong message for the protection of nature and the fight against climate change'. The Parliament participates in one of the largest environmental movements worldwide.

WWF Greece notes that 'Earth Hour' started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, and has evolved into a global movement.

'Earth Hour' became one of the first environmental campaigns to go viral and gave birth to a global movement of solidarity.
