Japan: Historic Heat Record Reached at 41.6°C

A historic heat record has been set in Japan, with the temperature reaching 41.6°C for the first time. The reading was recorded in the eastern city of Isesaki, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.

The previous record was 41.2°C, recorded last week in the city of Tamba in Hyogo prefecture.
