Laskaridis Foundation: "Typhoon" Removes 235 Boats from Lesvos Coast

The Athanasios C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation announced that the "Typhoon" project has removed 235 boats and 113 engines from the coasts of Lesvos as part of its coastline cleanup efforts.
During the operation, which aimed to remove waste, items related to refugee routes were also found, such as torn life jackets and children's shoes. In total, 75 tons of waste were collected.
The "Typhoon Project" has been continuing its actions since 2019, aiming to keep the Greek coasts clean for residents and visitors.
The Laskaridis Foundation emphasizes that the coasts carry memories and stories, which are revealed through the waste collected.
