Iran: Water Purchase Restrictions in Tehran Due to Drought

Residents of Tehran are facing severe restrictions on the purchase of bottled water, with only one six-pack allowed per person. The drought has reached a critical point in the Iranian capital and throughout the country.
The situation has caused strong discontent against the regime, as the drought problem has persisted for six years, despite warnings from scientists. Demand has skyrocketed, leading to price increases, leaving many without access to clean water.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned that if there is no rainfall before the end of the year, Tehran may need to be evacuated due to lack of water. In August, the regime was forced to declare additional holidays to reduce demand.
