Strong 5.2 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Afghanistan

A strong earthquake of magnitude 5.2 on the Richter scale struck Afghanistan on Tuesday (August 2). The epicenter was near the area of the deadly 6 Richter earthquake, which has claimed the lives of more than 1,400 people.
According to the French News Agency, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 34 km northeast of the city of Jalalabad, in the province of Nangarhar.
