Devastating Wildfires in California – Communities Evacuated

Over 20,000 acres have been burned in a single day in California, with authorities emphasizing that the fire remains completely out of control.
The Canyon Fire, northwest of Los Angeles, has led to the mandatory evacuation of thousands of people. It broke out on Thursday afternoon on the border of Ventura and Los Angeles counties.
By Friday morning, it had burned nearly 20,000 acres, according to the BBC. High temperatures, exceeding 37 degrees Celsius, and drought are complicating firefighting efforts.
More than 2,700 people have been asked to evacuate their homes, while another 14,000 have been warned. Santa Clarita is on high alert.
The Canyon Fire is one of many active wildfires in the state. The largest active fire is the Gifford Fire, which has destroyed nearly 400,000 acres.
