Perseid Meteor Shower Peaks Tonight: Summer Phenomenon

The Perseid meteor shower, a summer astronomical phenomenon, peaks tonight. The Perseids consist of ice and dust left behind by the Swift-Tuttle comet.
These particles burn up in the Earth's atmosphere as the planet passes through this region. They create a spectacular meteor shower.
Due to the brightness of the Moon, visibility will be reduced compared to other years. Observation is best away from city lights, facing northeast. Various events will take place in Cyprus.
