Lycabettus Hill Closed Due to High Fire Risk – Athens Municipality Measures

The Municipality of Athens has placed all its services on high alert due to the very high risk of fire and strong winds. Lycabettus Hill will remain closed for all activities from midnight this Saturday until further notice.

Standby teams from the Cleaning and Greenery services will conduct patrols on a 24-hour basis. The Municipal Police are on alert from the ground and from the air with drones, while a thermal camera will monitor the green spaces. Municipal water trucks are on standby.

The Operations Center of the Municipal Police will operate on a 24-hour basis to inform and assist the Fire Brigade. Citizens can contact 1595 or 2105287800 for any incident.
