Mexico: 14-Year-Old Dies of Hypothermia on Volcano – Last Video

A 14-year-old boy tragically died in Mexico after attempting to climb the Iztaccihuatl volcano alone. Paolo Sanchez Carrasco died of hypothermia at an altitude of 4,780 meters.
The 14-year-old climbed the volcano without a guide or proper equipment. He had traveled from Mexico City on July 12.
Shortly before his death, the teenager posted a video on social media, saying the temperature had dropped to -2°C and he had no sleeping bag. "I'm going to freeze," he said in the video.
Rescuers located Paolo's body after three days of searching. Iztaccihuatl is considered a technically difficult climb, requiring mountaineering equipment and experienced guides.
