Meteo: 41,959 Acres Burned in Attica, Kythira, and Evia Fires

According to an analysis of satellite data from the European Copernicus EMS mechanism, up to 12:20 PM on Sunday, forest fires burned 41,959 acres in the areas of Kryoneri Attica, Kythira, and Evia.

Specifically, 26,880 acres were recorded in Kythira, 12,810 acres in Pissonas Evia, and 2,269 acres in Kryoneri Attica.

The data comes from very high-resolution satellite images of the WorldView-2 satellite, processed by the meteo.gr / National Observatory of Athens team.
