5th Warmest February on Record

The world experienced the 5th warmest February on record, according to the European observatory Copernicus. The average temperature reached 13.26° Celsius on the Earth's surface, 1.49° Celsius above the pre-industrial period (1850-1900).

Last month was also marked by heavy rainfall in parts of Europe.
