Pakistan: Man Missing for 28 Years Found in Glacier

A man missing for 28 years has been found in a glacier in the Kohistan region of Pakistan. The body of Naseeruddin, as identified, was in almost intact condition.
A shepherd discovered the body in the "Lady Valley" after ice receded due to melting. Omar Khan, who found the body, stated that the corpse was intact and the clothes were not torn.
Police confirmed that it was Naseeruddin, who disappeared in 1997 during a snowstorm. He had fallen into a glacier crevasse. His brother, Kathiruddin, reported that Naseeruddin entered a cave and never came out.
Scientists link the discovery to the accelerated melting of glaciers due to climate change. Professor Muhammad Bilal explains that extreme cold and lack of moisture and oxygen contribute to the "mummification" of the body.
