Elon Musk's Company Fined for Illegal Waste Disposal

Entrepreneur Elon Musk is under scrutiny as his Boring Company, which builds tunnels in Las Vegas, is accused of illegal waste disposal.

Clark County environmental authorities fined the company nearly $500,000 following reports of drilling fluids being discharged into the city's sewer system.

According to Fortune, the damage was described as 'serious,' and the company paid an additional $131,000 for cleanup.

Authorities allege that the Boring Company attempted to mislead inspectors by reconnecting waste pipes after initially halting the illegal discharge.

The Boring Company has faced previous accusations of regulatory violations and damage to Las Vegas infrastructure.
