6.0 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Guatemala

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck Guatemala, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ). The focal depth is located at 10 km.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake measured 5.3 on the Richter scale. The epicenter is located 6 kilometers west of El Adelanto, in southeastern Guatemala.
Authorities are assessing the damage in the affected areas.
