The Minister of Environment and Energy, Stavros Papastavrou, participated in the presentation of the "Amorgorama" program in Amorgos, with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis as the keynote speaker.

Mr. Papastavrou emphasized that the National Marine Parks constitute an exercise of sovereignty and a priority for the government.

He also announced the securing of 33 permanent positions in OFYPEKA, a new directorate, and 16 floating vessels for the supervision of the parks in the Ionian and Aegean Seas.

The event was also attended by the EU Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans, Kostas Kadis, the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Kostas Tsiaras, and other representatives of the state and civil society.

Mr. Papastavrou referred to the four pillars of "Amorgorama": science, fishermen, civil society, and the state.
