Zero Drop Mornos: Water Conservation in Tanagra Municipality

In an era of increasing environmental awareness, the Municipality of Tanagra is implementing the Zero Drop program for water conservation. According to the Director of Technical Services, Dimitris Gikas, the installation of a new unit at the treatment plants in Schimatari allows the reuse of water that was previously discarded.

Previously, approximately 1,000 cubic meters of water per day were used to wash the filters and ended up in the sewer. With the Zero Drop program, this water is recycled, contributing to the sustainable management of water resources.

This project is an important step towards the rational management of water in the region, especially amidst the challenges posed by climate change.
