18-year-old to Apologize for Matricide in Trikala

An 18-year-old is expected to apologize today for the murder of his mother, committed in a village of Trikala on Tuesday. The forensic findings describe a torturous death, as the 54-year-old was strangled with a towel.

The 18-year-old's lawyers dispute his initial confession to the police, claiming that the act was committed in the heat of the moment, after an argument with his mother.

The young man is expected to claim that he did not intend to kill his mother.
