Aigio: 45-year-old Shoots Minors – Four Injured

A 45-year-old man was arrested in Aigio, accused of shooting and injuring four minors. According to the police, the incident occurred on 20-02-2026, when the man opened fire on the minors with a hunting rifle.

The injured were taken to the General Hospital of Aigio for first aid, while one of them was transferred to the General Children's Hospital of Patras "Karamanthaneio."

During the police investigation, traces of pellets were found on a municipal lighting panel (KAFAO), which came from a direct shot. The investigation led to the home of the accused, where two hunting rifle cartridges were found. In his business premises and in a farm warehouse, he surrendered a single-barreled hunting rifle and a carbine, which he possessed illegally.

The arrested man confessed to his act and will be brought before the Prosecutor of First Instance of Achaia.
