An Israeli tourist, Stav Ben-Soussan, reported being attacked by a man he described as Syrian at a beach bar in Alimos. According to his claim, the assailant shouted pro-Hamas slogans and bit his ear.

Ben-Soussan, speaking to Israeli Channel 12, stated that the man started filming them and shouting slogans such as "Freedom for Palestine, f@@k Israel, I am Hamas" and threw sand at his group. Initially, his group ignored him, but when they were provoked with the sand, Ben-Soussan reacted.

According to him, about an hour later, the man approached his wife and appeared to be attacking her. When he tried to help her, the man attacked him and bit his ear.

The Syrian man was taken to the investigator and given a deadline to apologize on July 30. He remains temporarily detained. The Israeli was hospitalized at the "G. Gennimatas" hospital and released.
