Aliveri: Fatal Traffic Accident Claims Two Lives – Couple Mourned

A tragic traffic accident occurred in Aliveri, Evia, claiming the lives of a 45-year-old man and his 41-year-old wife, leaving behind three children.

The accident happened when the motorcycle driven by Giannis Karapas, a well-known bailiff, collided head-on with a jeep on the Chalkida – Lepoura National Road on Friday morning.

Giannis Karapas was killed instantly, while his wife, Evangelia Krokou, was taken to Thriasio Hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries early Saturday morning.

According to initial reports, the motorcycle attempted to overtake another vehicle, resulting in the violent collision. The local community of Evia is in mourning.
