The trial for the murder of 19-year-old Alkis Kampanos has been adjourned to October 26, 2026. The decision was made amidst tension outside and inside the courthouse in Thessaloniki.

Alkis' father, Aristeidis Kampanos, expressed his disappointment at the delay in justice and condemned the incidents that occurred, saying: "Unfortunately, there will be some who honor Alkis' killers."

Alkis' mother, Melina Kakoulidou, stated emotionally: "In this trial, I, Alkis' mother, received the life sentence, because the other mothers were upstairs seeing their children." She also emphasized the need for justice to be served by the appellate court.

The twelve young PAOK fans sat in the dock again. Seven of them have been sentenced to life imprisonment and the remaining five to temporary imprisonment. The head of the Prosecutor's Office of Thessaloniki, Nikos Kallidis, appealed, requesting higher penalties and a revision of the charge to intentional homicide.

The case concerns the murder of Alkis Kampanos on February 1, 2022, in the Harilaou area, as well as the attacks against his friends.
