Antirrio: Elderly Spearfisherman Found Dead

An elderly spearfisherman was found unconscious in the sea area of Antirrio on Tuesday morning.

Firefighters, an ambulance, and a port authority vessel rushed to the scene. Rescuers retrieved the man from the water, where he was pronounced dead.

According to reports, the man often fished in the area. He had left his car in Rio and crossed over to Antirrio to fish.

His body was transferred to the hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
