Prisoner Escapes from Kastoria Hospital

An alert has been issued to the police authorities of Kastoria after a prisoner escaped from the city's hospital.

The prisoner, a convicted felon, escaped from the surgical clinic cell where he was being guarded, according to kastorianiestia.gr.

Immediately after the escape was discovered, a large ELAS operation was launched to locate and arrest him. Strong police forces are participating in the search, and the authorities in the surrounding areas have been informed.

The police are asking for the cooperation of citizens, calling on anyone who knows anything to contact the authorities.
