Aspropyrgos: Refuse Truck Workers Attacked – Driver in Hospital

Refuse truck workers in Aspropyrgos were attacked by a group of youths. The driver was seriously injured and is being treated at Thriasio Hospital, while his two companions sustained minor injuries.

The incident occurred in the Gorytsa area when the perpetrators blocked the refuse truck's path and attacked the crew. The driver reported being attacked by five to six individuals, who fractured his jaw and caused head contusions.

The Hellenic Police (EL.AS.) is investigating the incident, which is reminiscent of a similar attack on a sanitation worker in the Municipality of Athens in June. No arrests have been made so far.
