Athens: Sexual Harassment on Bus – Driver Trapped Perpetrator

A sexual harassment incident occurred on a bus in Athens, on the E14 Syntagma-Marousi line. According to STAR, a bus driver trapped a 52-year-old man who allegedly sexually harassed a 22-year-old woman.

The driver, after realizing the incident, stopped the bus at Agios Thomas and called the ELAS (Greek Police). In a video that was shown, the 52-year-old is heard apologizing to the 22-year-old. Subsequently, DIAS team police officers arrested the 52-year-old.

According to the driver, the 22-year-old shouted that the man had harassed her, touching her chest and legs. The driver kept the doors closed until the police arrived.
