7 Acquitted in Thessaloniki Fan Beating Case

Seven individuals were acquitted by the Mixed Jury Court of Thessaloniki for the brutal beating of a 20-year-old fan in July 2019, in the Kamara area. The 20-year-old suffered a traumatic brain injury and was hospitalized in a coma.

The defendants, aged 26 to 33, denied any involvement. The victim testified that he remembered nothing from the attack and did not recognize any of the defendants. "My memory stops at Kamara," he stated.

The attack targeted four Aris fans returning from a match with Aris Limassol. The judges decided on acquittal due to lack of evidence.
