A five-month-old infant has died in Attica. The baby girl was transported to Agia Olga Hospital by ambulance on Friday morning, but unfortunately, she could not be revived.

According to the mother's testimony, she, her partner, and their twin children slept in the same bed. In the morning, they found that one of the twins, the baby girl, was not waking up. Michalis Giannakos reported that the mother told doctors the child was alive at 4:00 AM.

An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death, and the police (ELAS) arrived at the hospital to collect evidence. The 19-year-old mother told MEGA Greece: "We were sleeping, my partner and my babies, because we have two babies, they are twins, and we woke up. We had put them in bed with us, we woke up and found the little one frozen."

The mother added that the baby was born prematurely and had reflux issues, which were being medically monitored. Regarding the possibility of someone falling on the baby during sleep, the mother responded negatively, stressing that they had taken all necessary safety measures.

The authorities have been fully informed of the circumstances of the incident. The mother stated that the child was sleeping next to her partner and that she heard him shout "My baby, wake up" when he realized the baby was unresponsive.

The family had planned to hold a wedding and baptisms together. The mother stated that they loved their children from the moment they learned about the pregnancy and were ready to give their lives for them.
