Trial Begins for Delay in Contract 717: Charges Against National Transparency Authority Auditors

The trial of the National Transparency Authority auditors regarding the delay in the implementation of contract «717» has begun before the Athens Misdemeanor Court. The two auditors are being tried for the misdemeanor of breach of duty in common.
Relatives of the victims of the Tempi train tragedy declared their appearance in support of the prosecution. Among them are Pavlos Aslanidis, Vasilios Chatzicharalampous, Christos Tilkeridis, Zafiro Karasavva, Antonis Psaropoulos and Maria Karystianou. Panos Routsi is also present in court.
The defense lawyers of the accused requested that the relatives' applications not be accepted, while the relatives' lawyers argued that if the audit had been done correctly, the omissions in ERGOSE would have been avoided.
The court adjourned to decide on the expulsion or not of the relatives of the victims. The two defendants are represented by a Legal Advisor of the State.
