Athens Municipality: Team Cleans Crime Scenes

A specialized team from the Municipality of Athens undertakes the cleaning of crime scenes, sudden deaths, and abandoned properties. The Special Operations Department, in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Inspection and Environmental Hygiene of the Regional Unit K. Sector of Athens, consists of five people.

Their work is carried out after the completion of the police investigation and in cooperation with the police, health authorities, and the prosecutor's office. Workers wear special suits, double gloves, shoe covers, and masks, taking strict safety measures.

The team executed 340 prosecutor's orders last year. The issue was presented in a new episode of THEMA UNCUT.
