Irene Mourtzoukou: Attacked in Korydallos Prison

Irene Mourtzoukou, who has confessed to the murders of four infants, was attacked in Korydallos Prison by a fellow inmate.

According to reports, the attack took place last Saturday by the mother of little Angelos, who is accused of beating her child to death. She allegedly used a broken piece of glass, resulting in Mourtzoukou suffering minor facial injuries.

The perpetrator was placed in isolation, and Mourtzoukou may take legal action against her. From the moment she was transferred to the prison, Mourtzoukou had received verbal attacks from other inmates.

Her brother, Dimitris, had expressed fears for her safety in prison. Her psychological state is poor, and she is expected to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
