The search continues for a 59-year-old woman, **Michel Ann Joy Bourda**, who went missing in the Ofrinio area of Kavala. The woman has been missing since last Friday, August 1st.

The couple, who reside in England, were in Greece on vacation. According to testimonies, the husband fell asleep on the beach, while the 59-year-old went into the sea for a swim. When the husband woke up, the woman had disappeared.

A water sports instructor reported seeing a woman matching Bourda's description swimming in deep water and urged her not to go any further. Another testimony states that a swimmer saw the 59-year-old swimming in the deep before her husband noticed her absence.

The Coast Guard's search has stopped, according to protocol, but patrols continue. The police are continuing their investigations, while British media have expressed interest in the case. According to the spokeswoman for the Hellenic Police, **Konstantia Dimoglidou**, there is no evidence of criminal activity.

In the husband's home village, in Chryso, Serres, residents are upset by the news.

A **Silver Alert** has been issued for the disappearance of the 59-year-old.
