Tobacco Smuggling Ring Busted: Factory in Avlona, Operations Center in Liosia
Authorities have dismantled a tobacco smuggling ring, uncovering a clandestine factory in Avlona and an operations center in Liosia. Over ā¬1 million was seized.
Reportedly, the factory in Avlona was meticulously concealed with drywall and equipped with modern machinery and a fully equipped tobacco processing laboratory.
The operations center in Liosia was used to coordinate the production, storage, and distribution of illicit tobacco products.
A total of 25 individuals were arrested, 19 in Attica and 6 in Viotia. Weapons, vehicles, handwritten notes, and mobile phones were also confiscated.
