Domestic Violence Incident in Karystos: 60-Year-Old Injures Wife

A domestic violence incident occurred in Karystos, where a 60-year-old man injured his 49-year-old wife with a knife following an altercation.

According to ERT, the incident took place on Sunday, September 14. The woman called the police, reporting an attack by her husband.

Police officers who arrived at the scene found the woman injured. She reported that her husband punched her, tore her blouse, and injured her face with a knife.

The 49-year-old was taken to Karystos General Hospital. She refused to be transferred to a shelter but agreed to install the panic button application on her mobile phone.

Her husband is wanted by the police. A case file has been opened against him for domestic violence, bodily harm, and violation of weapons laws.
